Healthy, Large, Well Socialised & Raised With Love
Introduction
At Ghostgum Maine Coons we have been proudly breeding since 2011. We are located on a farm 50klms south west of Brisbane. Interstate transport can be organised for kittens.
The cats are a big part of my life and all are well socialised with people, other animals and the activities around the farm. Depending on the weather, the girls and kittens vary from living in the house (couch potatoes / bed warmers!) to very large, grassy enclosures with many toys, climbing structures and trees to jump and play on. The outside enclosures overlook the chicken pen (oh how they'd love to get in with those chooks!) and the sheep, horse and cattle paddocks so they can watch what's going on at the farm. I also have a 7 year old rowdy farm boy who watches over the newborns, runs to check on them if he hears them crying, and once he's given the go ahead to pick them up (when they are over 4 weeks old) he is regularly found watching comics snuggled up with a kitten or five :)
Our boys, Raven and Sonic, live in very large, grassy enclosures and always have a companion with them. They both like to chase butterflies and grasshoppers around and have smooches with their mumma.
The kittens are all raised underfoot so they grow up to be well adjusted with good temperaments and used to a busy household. I have found the Maine Coons to be playful, active companions who like human company and they each have a personality of their own. Out of curiousity they are often into mischief but they are fast learners and very affectionate and their loud purr gives them away every time.
Ghostgum Maine Coons is a registered breeder, and a proud member of the QFA (QLD Feline Association) and abide by their code of ethics. We are a closed cattery to ensure our cats and kittens are not exposed to unncessary health risks and all breeding cats have been tested negative for HCM, PKD and SMA and have all their required health checks and vaccinations.
Kittens are ready to leave to their new families from 14 weeks of age, and are toilet trained, have had their 2 vaccinations, are health checked, wormed, microchipped, desexed and come with their registration certificates with the QFA.
